COVID-19 Update at Rocky Mountain Psychological Services

Over the past few weeks, we have all seen the impact of the COVID-19 virus. At Rocky Mountain Psychological Services, we are working diligently to take appropriate measures to safeguard the health of our clients and staff.

If you are not feeling well or are exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms, we ask you to self-isolate in accordance with Alberta Health Services directives (

Please see “Flexible Delivery of Psychological Services” below for alternate means of receiving psychological services from us.

Enhancing our Cleaning and Sanitization practices

We have expanded our cleaning and sanitization practices at our clinic. All clients will be offered a hand sanitizer upon arrival and our clinicians will
continue washing their hands or using hand sanitizer between each client.

Flexible Delivery of Psychological Services

We know how important it is for our clients to receive timely and regular psychological sessions. We have worked hard at developing an approach that will enable most of our clients to receive these services from the comfort of their home.

As of Tuesday March 24, 2020, the following psychological services will be delivered confidentially via phone or Zoom:

  • Art/Play Therapy based counselling,
  • Counselling, and
  • Consultation

If you have an upcoming appointment for the above services, you will be contacted by your therapist with instructions on how to access the session from the comfort of your home. Our phone/Zoom based psychological services will be delivered in accordance with Telepsychology Services Practice Guideline published by the College of Alberta Psychologists. We are committed to maintaining the quality of our services while continuing to ensure confidentiality and your privacy.

The above measures will reduce the traffic flow in the office to help keep our staff and clients safe. At this time we are not able to provide remote-based services for Neurofeedback and Assessment Testing Sessions for clients with existing appointments. We know how important it is for our clients to continue to receive these services without interruption. We have already instituted an enhanced sanitization protocol for these services.

If you need to schedule a phone/Zoom session, please fill out the self-referral form or copy/paste this to your browser ( You may also call our office at (403) 245 – 5981 to make the appointment.
